born 1949 in Lübeck
I try to make analog and digital collage into a high art.
Born 1949 in Lübeck/Germany, I studied art education and mathematics in Kiel
and have been a high school teacher near Lübeck for twenty years...
Since 1996 I'm working as a free artist and show my artwork in yearly exhibitions. |

Thinking artwork nowadays is not possible without digital media,
using my digital camera to scann the landscape for the trash of a consumer world,
looking for the scraps that people throw away - these pieces are nearly without meaning
to anyone - I collect the basic material for my artwork: the lost.
Later, in a longer working process, I try to give these cultural fragments a new meaning
in a new context, relying, it would seem, on memory. This transformation is the main principle
behind my collage art...
